We decided to contact Firsbway because their kennels were KC registered and Local Authority inspected. From what we saw on the internet the kennels appeared to be immaculately clean.

We decided to buy our two girls.

We were sent photos of all nine puppies and decided on two. When we visited the kennels when the pups were five weeks old we were able to chose the two we wanted. Prior to that we were sent videos of the pups on a weekly basis.

We also met both parents of the pups and we were impressed with the cleanliness and efficiency in the way the kennels were run. We were sent updates by video until we collected our girls at eight weeks old.

The friendliness and helpfulness of you and all the kennel staff on that day was impressive. The documentation provided was comprehensive.

The girls have been healthy and affectionate and any request for advice since we brought them home has been freely given.

From the first call to Firsbyway I was really impressed.

Lindsey told me all about the puppy’s parents and then went on to ask me lots of questions to make sure we were the right family for the puppy. I wasn’t worried about whether it was a dog or a bitch and Lindsey said I’ll probably find that one will choose you. We went to see the litter and met Mum and Dad and as Lindsey said little Ruby chose us. We picked her up 4 weeks later.

Lindsey and Jon have been great and are there for any help and advice you might need. They are very experienced breeders and really care about their dogs and where the puppies are going making sure they get the best and most suitable home.

I send a birthday picture of Ruby every year to keep them updated on her and they’re always so pleased to hear how she is getting on. I would recommend them to anyone and if I ever get another Labrador I will definitely go back to Firsbyway.

Ruby has turned into the most wonderful girl, with the gentlest of temperaments and is the most loved pet.

She turned 5 this year, we are very lucky to have her.

In October 2018 we had the pleasure of buying two Labrador puppies from Lindsey.

On arrival we met both the pup’s parents who were very friendly and energetic. The pups were with mum in a pristine clean pen that was generously proportioned allowing them plenty of scope to run around and play together in doors.

There were no stale smells or signs that the environment was unclean or poorly maintained. All the dogs looked bright eyed and healthy with shinny coats. They immediately wanted to be fussed and interact with these new visitors.

Once home, they have proved to be wonderful companions of even and affectionate temperament.

They are extremely handsome in my opinion and we get lots of admiring and complimentary remarks from people we meet.

I would not hesitate to buy another dog from Lindsey in the future.

We’ve had an amazing time with pup since picking her up in February. She’s climbed Pen-y-ghent and Whernside, visited the seaside, enjoyed several camping trips and generally kept us busy! She’s also sampled chicken from the kitchen work top, shredded a box of tissues and played tug with her bed!

We couldn’t have asked for a more loving pup and she’s brought us lots of laughter and entertainment as well as warmth and love.

Firsbyway Working Dogs were recommended to us by a couple of friends when we were looking out for a stud dog for our 4 year old black labrador Poppy.

After enquiring, we met Blaze & decided he was the perfect choice. Blaze is a friendly, handsome and lovely natured boy, with an excellent pedigree. I noticed he is good with children (mine & the owners) & other dogs too.

The owners were very knowledgeable about their stud dogs & were only too happy to answer questions relating to the service.

Our bitch Poppy had her beautiful puppies, a mix of black & yellow, bitches & dogs.

We kept one of the puppies, a yellow bitch, ‘Daisy’. She is almost 2 years old now & what a dog! Perfect family pet & working dog.

He is the most intelligent, obedient boy. Even as a tiny puppy he was a dream.He has become the best gun dog for my partner and has picked up everything so quickly.

We could not have wished for a better dog

Our boy flash now 1.5 years old is a dream, loving beyond anything we could imagine and such a good athletic family dog.

Lindsay from Firsbyway has been fantastic from the start, from going to visit him his mum and dad to collecting him and helping with advice over the year we have had him.

I can’t recommend Firsbyway enough and will be forever grateful for giving us our pup.

We’ve had 2 dogs from Firsbyway with our family – both dogs have been outstanding in every possible way.

Lindsey has always been there for us to answer any questions or concerns we’ve had.

We arranged to go and look at the pups, we also met the pups parents which is very important. We picked our pup Jazz and paid a deposit for her. Lindsey kept me informed all the time in her progress and with pictures until we picked her up. We also got advice on her food and lots of other information.

We have kept in touch with Lindsey ever since to let her know how our beautiful girl has grown she will be 2 this Christmas Eve

. Lindsey is always happy to see her pictures and to know that Jazz is loved and is in a happy home.

Lindsey is not just a breeder but is caring and wants the best for all her dogs. If we ever wanted another pup or decided to breed from our girl, I wouldn’t hesitate than to contact Lindsey.

Today was his first day in the beating line and the boy did me proud!!!!! Threw him in at the deep end on a 500 bird day! Steady as a rock all day, and not at all phased. Thrilled to bits with him.

He’s proving to be a valued member of my little beating/picking up/dogging in team, as well as a huge part of the family and we wouldn’t be without him!  

We welcomed Bailey our black Labrador puppy into our home from Firsbyway last week and I can’t recommend Lindsey and her lovely family enough.

They made the choosing and collection experience so memorable, and we are just so happy with our gorgeous puppy. Lindsey provided us with information on vaccines, feeding, her routine etc which has been most useful.

Bailey has settle in so quickly, she’s got the nicest nature and sweet personality. Lindsey showed our girls training techniques which they’ve loved doing with her.

We were so lucky to get a Firsbyway pup, Lindsey has also been on hand for some feeding questions, she’s so supportive and knowledgable,

couldn’t recommend enough!!

Great experience buying my first working labrador from the family and they were all super professional.

I’ve had her for over a year and there isn’t a week that’s goes by that I don’t receive a complement about how well behaved and beautiful she is.

Brecon has great temperament and is the best companion. I would 100% go back to them for another Labrador.
